paroxetine

A re-examination of a study initially published in the American Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2001 has some worrying results to report. It turns out that paroxetine, a popular anti-depressant, is not only ineffective, but also unsafe for treating children and adolescents. The medicine also proved to increase some of the teenagers’ risk of suicidal behavior. The original trial’s findings were contradicted by a study issued in the British Medical Journal, establishing that the drug paroxetine was highly unsuitable and unsafe for treating severe depression in young people. The former drugs company SmithKline Beecham, now GlaxoSmithKline funded the initial study.

How to Make a Program Run at Startup on Any Computer

computers
Programs you install often add themselves to the startup process on Windows, Mac OS X, and even Linux. But you can also add your own favorite programs to the startup process and have them launch automatically after you log into your computer.
This is particularly useful for background applications or tools that automatically perform a function, but you can even add desktop applications and they’ll pop up when you log in.

Jose Mourinho had forgotten the winning 'feeling'

Jose MourinhoChelsea boss Jose Mourinho said he had forgotten the winning "feeling" after they reacted to their worst start to a Premier League season with a 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The Blues entered the Champions League opener with one win from five matches.
"I forgot the feeling. For so long we don't win a game, so good, a good feeling," Mourinho said.
"I am a fantastic manager when I win matches and I am a fantastic manager when I lose matches."
Despite an early missed penalty by Eden Hazard, goals from Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas ensured Chelsea had no problems in seeing off their Israeli opponents.

jayz and family on a vaccation.

0916_beyonce_jay_z_swimming_pool_shirtless_bikini_photos_launch2Jay Z and Beyonce are just like every other family on vacation ... if your family could afford a fabulous trip all over Italy's Mediterranean coastline at 5 star resorts and villas.
The couple and daughter Blue Ivy have been on an extended European vacation and turned up Tuesday poolside, where they got a dose of reality when they hit the chilly water ... though a little water aerobics and PDA took care of that.
The bigger potential issue with these pics -- the great prego debate! Half the people in our office think Bey looks like she's expecting ... the other half think she just had lunch.
Judge for yourself. Either way, this is not a hard knock life.

villa chapel not relocated

Image result for pix of a churchSenior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Laolu Akande, on Wednesday, responded to the criticism trailing a report that the Aso Rock Villa Chapel has been relocated.
Akande described the report as false, saying a “procedural adjustment” does not amount to relocation.
Akande’s response came on the heels of social media backlash occasioned by an online report that President Muhammadu Buhari had relocated the chapel.
The media aide said it was not fair to accuse the President of relocating the church when what happened was “the sorting out of procedural issues.” He insisted that it was baseless to assume that Buhari was hostile to Christians in the Presidential Villa.

PMB naira should not be devalued further

President Muhammadu BuhariThe naira should not be devalued further, President Muhammadu Buhari said on Wednesday, despite the Central Bank of Nigeria’s growing struggles to keep the naira at current levels. The nation’s revenue has been hit hard by the fall of global crude prices, and the CBN has imposed increasingly strict foreign exchange rules to save the external reserves and avoid what would be the third devaluation in one year. The central bank had devalued the naira in November last year and February this year. Despite the CBN’s uphill struggle to keep the naira from falling further, Buhari believes the naira must not be devalued. “I don’t think it is healthy for us to have the naira devalued further,” Buhari said in an interview with France 24.
